The Home Energy Scotland Loan provides Scottish homeowners access to £15,000 at 0% interest to pay for solar panel installation, along with up to £2,500 cashback.

Under the Smart Export Guarantee, all major energy suppliers must offer a tariff for solar electricity sent back to the grid — providing an extra revenue on top of your bill savings.

If you’re on certain benefits or have a lower income, the ECO4 scheme might offer additional support, and several Scottish councils run their own local funding schemes.
